JOB DETAILS

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management and coaching of our Sales Team that cover your defined region, driving the team to deliver and exceed against agreed sales targets underpinned by their efforts being driven through a fundamental ‘growth’ mind-set.

You will be tasked with motivating and driving your teams to generate high quality sales opportunities across a variety of market sectors with both new and existing customers. You will lead from the front when it comes to sales activity and be someone that educates and inspires your team to take their performance to the next level. You will work with your RSD to coach, support and teach your sales team to work professionally and ethically in order to retain and grow a successful sales region.

The individual must demonstrate experience and absolute willingness to embraced, execute and embed the following core sales mindset principles amongst the “sales team”.

  • Carefully plans and prepares each audacious approach to a customer - to ensure maximum value and impact, and minimum offence
  • Customers do not feel offended in response to any bold ideas presented or by the manner in which this person presents them
  • Knows the limits for how far to push a suggestion with a customer and does not overstep this
  • Self-confident and positive in discussions with customers

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Previous experience of managing a high performing sales function
  • The ability to implement strategies that underpin the organisational objectives
  • Demonstrable record of people development
  • Excellent communication, time management and planning skills
  • Activity driven, with a strong focus on developing new customers
  • Experience of selling a “managed service” opportunity with a consultative approach, commercially astute, with a proven ability to maximise revenue streams
  • Ideally, proven success within the Managed Print Services (MPS) market place and/or from an IT hardware/software sales background
  • Well-honed people skills and an established relationship builder at senior level
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to sell Apogee’s USP’s/Added value services
  • Utilise metrics and reports as part of sales development, with a view to up skilling the sales force
  • Ability to demonstrate a systematic and disciplined approach

Have a history of successfully implementing change across a sales function
